We’ll kick the project off with an in-depth onboarding call and brand questionnaire. This is where I gather all the information I need to understand your business and form the foundation of your website copy. 

Following our call, I’ll do my own research to uncover what people love about your business. This includes surveys, customer interviews and a competitor analysis, as well as keyword research to make sure your site shows up in the search results. 

STEP #1: ONBOARDING & RESEARCH

It might look like just a bunch of words, but there's a whole lot of work that goes into choosing the right ones.

Next I’ll pour over my findings to define your positioning and uncover your core message. After approximately 145 drafts and a marathon’s worth of running (it clears the head), I’ll send over your messaging strategy. 

This document outlines the messages we’ll weave throughout your website to show the unquestionable value of your service. During this phase, you’ll have a chance to share your feedback before I start writing. 

STEP #2: STRATEGY & MESSAGE MAPPING

Full transparency: you almost definitely won’t hear from me during this phase. That’s because I’ll be busy weaving together the threads of my research to create website copy that captures your brand and resonates with your audience. 

I’ll start by mapping out the messaging hierarchy on each page before turning my insights into words that speak to your audience and please the Google Gods. You’ll hear from me about 2-3 weeks later with the first draft for you to review.


STEP #3: WRITING (& WRITING SOME MORE)

Two rounds of feedback later, you’ll have your new SEO-optimised and wireframed copy ready to go. If you hire a designer, I’ll be on hand to communicate with them. And if you design it yourself, I’m here to give it a final proofread before it goes live. That way we can be sure nothing went wobbly during the design process. 

Three months after the site goes live, I’ll be back in touch to do a data review so you can see the real impact of your site, in black and white. 

STEP #4: FEEDBACK & LAUNCH
